Something has to give. Congress is running wild.
They have driven our taxes through the roof and the debt they are accumulating could spell disaster for our children.
As a father of five – and as a patriotic American – I feel compelled to do something about it.
I am a family man, a businessman, and a West Point graduate currently serving in the Army Reserve. My focus has been on my family and business career --so running for Congress had been the furthest thing from my mind. But the healthcare debacle and the rampant government expansion is a call to action.
The current Congress has to go. That’s the bottom line. At the end of the day, each of them is responsible for the fiscal position we are in. The irresponsible use of our hard earned incomes on inefficient programs that don’t accomplish their purpose has to stop. The waste and debt are killing good, sustainable jobs, threatening our global competitiveness and growth, and forfeiting the future of our children.
Where is the leadership in Congress for tackling the real and tough problems that matter to Americans? Where is the leadership that actually gets results--versus making backroom deals to satisfy special interests?
Many of today’s incumbents are good and likeable people—including 22-year incumbent Nita Lowey—but they’ve had their chance and they’ve shown what they can and cannot do.
We need fresh faces in Washington committed to this country’s core traditional strengths: a vibrant free-market economy; low debt and reasonable taxation; effective limited government; an open society, and a challenging educational system that offers every American a chance at the American dream.
And, we need real leadership that knows how to get important things done.
That’s why I’m running for Congress.
If you share my views, I’d appreciate your help in getting elected. I can’t do it without you.
